the plan and O how they change

The plan was to fish Buzzard after hearing that it was replanted with some nice catchables and some jumbos. Yesterday should of been the day to go BUTT to many chores to get done.
Today I went up knowing that the wind was blownin at 12+mph here in the valley. Up at Buzzard it must of been blowin 20+mph when I arrived at 9ish. it was a froth, white capped and stiring mess. I got out of my truck and the wind blew my door closed and just about blew me over.
I got back into the truck and pulled out hopping I could catch Mighty Mouse before he drove all the way in. We met about half way and got him turned around. We stopped where the road meets HWY 20.

   Off to Lil Green
9:30ish sunny at 59 a little wind but nothing like up at Buzzard. water temp 64

We were in the water by 9:30 and within minutes into fish, and I mean lots of fish not the biggest but all were hungry, healthy, and full of fight, We both did some 16 inchers lots of 14s and a few 12s i think both of us did hook 1 or 2 that were under 10 inch.

MM spotted lots of fish in deep water of 30+feet close to the bottom and worked his booby fly for a short while catchin a nice fatt bow. I think its called a Pamala Anderson,  I keep my Punkinhead on and dug out just one before I returned back to fishing about 30 feet off shore the weeds are pretty thick closer in and almost all the fish I did hook up with were in 12-15 feet of water

the wind stayed steady blowin harder at times and towards the end I anchored up so that I was casting with the wind threw on a strike indicator and pitched out a chronie and bagged 3 nice bows while MM headed for the launch.and by 1:30 we were both out of the water and loading up.

2maro if the wind calms down I'll go back up to Buzzard and then try fishin Big Green

  1. Let us know how Buzzard is.
Its funny how the wind works sometime. I left Tonasket and it was calm, at the bottom of the hill to Buzzard, calm, at Buzzard a wind tunnel.
